WHO ARE WE?? This is a casual place with a timeless design offering food and beverage starting at the “roots”. This is a place to gather where food and beverage professionals promote thoughtfully sourced and seasonal ingredients. This “house” is the place to be social and to enjoy a lighter, and healthier meal or a longer paced dining experience. We have a well thought out wine selection as well as local and regional craft beers selections. Our spirits are mixed with fresh ingredients and innovation, creating curiosity and the desire to find the unexpected for our guest. The ritual of sharing and exploring flavors brings our community together. This is a destination that offers a full service experience for an "anytime or any day" option.

Line Cooks

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the chef's exact specifications and to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in our open kitchen. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and goals.

Responsibilities:

• Food preparation (Sandwiches, packaged foods, and composed salads) and prep area maintenance.

• Responsible for maintaining all assigned areas organized, sanitary and clean. 

• Must comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.

• Performs daily routine cleaning tasks throughout the back of the house as directed by Chef or Sous Chef.

• Sets up and breaks down their station daily.

• Checks equipment to ensure it is operating correctly; promptly reports any issues to management.

• Follows opening and closing duties and responsibilities as directed by Chef or Sous Chef.

• Upholding service preparation and Culinary standards to ensure a memorable guest experience

• Maintaining and upholding our vision and values.

• Ability to learn, understand, and to execute daily menus. 

• Preparing mise en place for daily service.

• Taking part in pre-service duties

• Accurately handling food items to minimize waste. 

• Participating in service/culinary education sessions

• Assists dishwasher when needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the Chef or Sous Chef.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run. 

• Must have basic math skills. Must demonstrate strong people and customer service skills.

Requirements-

• Proven cooking experience of at least 2 years.

• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, knife techniques, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.

• Familiar with industry's best practices.

Prep Cooks

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the chef's exact specifications and to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in our open kitchen. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and goals.

Responsibilities:

• Checks the walk in, storage area, and refrigerators for proper storage and temperatures for food maintenance.

• Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area.

• Prepares a variety of food items for cooking. This involves washing, peeling, and/or cutting food items, including fruits, vegetables, meats and fish.

• Identifies and communicates to Lead Line Cook any food items that may have expired and/or have not been prepared correctly so that the items may be disposed of and recorded correctly. Retrieves food items from the fridge or freezer. Stores food in containers, the fridge or freezer.

• Weighs or measures ingredients, refills kitchen bottles, shakers or storage as required.

• Stacks and stores food supplies, equipment, or other utensils in the kitchen.

• Assists dishwasher when needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the Chef or Sous Chef.

Dishwashers/ Daily Maintenance

We are looking for a dishwasher who will be committed & passionate about being in the service industry and maintains a high level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and goals.

Responsibilities:

• Wash pots and pans and soiled tableware.

• Sweep, scrub, and mop the floors around dish and soda area.

• Trash removal.

• General cleaning of the kitchen as assigned.

• Clean walk in refrigerators and freezer.

• Maintain safe work environment.

• Follow scheduled work deadlines.

• Fully verse in the operation of a Dish Machine- load and unload.

• Performs proper restaurant cleaning procedures prior to the restaurant opening.

• Performs proper closing of kitchen, ensuring sanitation guidelines are met.

• Completes proper documentation of sanitation and temperature logs.



Requirements:

• Proven restaurant experience of at least 1 year.

• Excellent understanding of various small wares, equipment and procedures.

• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.

• Familiar with industry's best practices.

Servers

We are looking for professional servers who are passionate about food & beverage and drive to keep learning about their craft. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wishes to be part of a great restaurant with a people driven culture. Responsibilities:

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.

• Informs guests of specials and menu changes, makes suggestions, and answers questions regarding food, beverages, allergies and service.

• Complete knowledge of the menu and ingredients in order to be able educate the guest if they ask.

• Able to read the guest on what type of dining experience they wish to have.

• Processes guests' orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.

• Communicates with host/hostess, server assistant, runner, kitchen staff and bartenders, and coordinates entire station to ensure guest satisfaction with the food and service.

• Able to create a great guest experience and builds guest loyalty

• May present, open and pour wine when serving guests

• Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, responds to any additional requests, and determines when the meal has been completed

• May assist server assistant with stocking work stations, removing, and resetting soiled dishes and silverware from table at conclusion of each course

Requirements:

• Preferred fine dining restaurant server experience or at a minimum polish casual dining restaurant server experience.

• Must have a true interest to be in the hospitality industry and offer genuine, warm professional service.

• A passion for food and a passion to learn about ingredients and cooking techniques from around the globe that can be transcended down to the guest.

• Extensive wine background and working knowledge of spirits and cocktails.

• Ability to multi-task in a detail oriented, high customer expectations environment, while maintaining a calm and collected demeanor.

• Possess strong communications skills

• Proven restaurant experience of at least 2 years of solid, service experience.

• You must be available days & weekends, including Sundays

Bartenders

We are looking for professional bartenders who are passionate about their craft and who are experience in contemporary bartending and working with seasonal and fresh ingredients. • Able to converse with the guest on what type of beverage they wish to have and can think outside the box to develop cocktails that suite their needs.

• Processes guests' orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.

• Communicates with host/hostess, server assistant, runner, kitchen staff and bartenders, and coordinates entire station to ensure guest satisfaction with the food and service.

• Able to create a great guest experience and builds guest loyalty at the bar

• Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, responds to any additional requests, and determines when the meal has been completed

Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in a fine is a plus in high-pace restaurant or bar.

• Proven expertise in various kinds of liquor, liquor brands, and understanding how each plays a role in the creation of a new cocktail.

• Basic knowledge of California wines with a desire to learn more.

• Exceptional standards of cleanliness, both during and after service.

• An inherent creative impulse where your thirst for crafting new cocktails is a primary source for your drive.

• Must have a sense of urgency and an attitude of “getting after it” when called for.

• Open availability. MUST be able to work Sundays.

• Ability to think critically and problem-solve on the fly.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; an inherent desire to make others happy.

• Proficiency in multitasking and batching various duties.

Host/Hostess

We are looking for professional hostesses or hosts who are passionate for hospitality and an outgoing personality. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wishes to be part of a great restaurant with a people driven culture. Responsibilities:

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.

• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party.

• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.

• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

• Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of guests flow in waiting area.

• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.

• Relay messages to managers, servers and server assistant as needed.

• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

• Never let a guest leave the restaurant unhappy.

Requirements:

• No experience required.

• Must have a love for people and always want to put smiles on people’s faces.

• Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).

• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
